Cold emailing is a great way to target new leads and acquire customers. Unlike cold calling, which is expensive and takes up a lot of time, cold emailing can be done on a mass scale, allowing you to reach thousands of people instantly.
If you want your cold emailing campaigns to be effective, you need to use the right email service provider. Look for one that specializes in cold emailing or otherwise guarantees a better open rate with cold emails.
Following are six email providers you can use.
1. Mail 250
Mail 250, formerly known as Swipe Mail, is an email service provider that focuses on bulk email campaigns.
One of their main selling points is that they have their own built-in i-MTA (AI driven Mail Transfer Agent) that keeps up with all of the latest spam regulations from major ISPs, greatly reducing the number of your emails that will end up in the spam folder.
Other features include email personalization, content uploading, campaign scheduling, click tracking, email reporting, and automatic bounce handling.
They have a built-in suppression list to avoid sending your emails to bad prospects, and they also automatically unsubscribe anyone who requests to be removed.
Emails can be sent by using the web app, through SMTP relay, or through HTTP API.
There are a few plans available:
- $20/month: 1,000 emails per hour
- $50/month: 2,500 emails per hour
- $150/month: 5,000 emails per hour
There is also a free trial available.
2. Woodpecker
Woodpecker.co focuses exclusively on cold emailing and follow-ups. It’s pretty simple to use.
Just import your contacts, write an email and a followup or two, choose a sending time, and Woodpecker will send the emails for you.
You can personalize your emails using custom fields to get a better conversion rate.
Your follow-ups can be sent in the same thread as your previous emails. All replies to your emails, even those from a different email address, will be automatically detected and shown both in the Woodpecker app and in your Gmail account.
Woodpecker integrates with Gmail, Outlook, or any email client via IMAP.
You will also get detailed analytics, such as open and click rates.
There are three plans:
- Startup: $40/month
- Team Pro: $50/month (for larger teams and more integrations)
- Enterprise: Custom pricing for enterprises
There is also a 14-day free trial.
3. Mailshake
Mailshake is another cold emailing service that integrates with your Gmail account. It has some pretty cool features.
It comes with pre-written email templates that you can use, and it will help you choose the right ones based on your answers to a few questions.
If you write your own emails, it will give you real-time analysis to help you word your emails better and avoid spammy phrases.
You can use merge fields to customize your emails. You can schedule follow-ups based on time delays or on a prospect’s actions, such as whether they clicked on a link or not.
You can block out certain times or days, such as weekends. When a prospect replies, follow-ups will be automatically stopped.
You can set what counts as a lead (this can be a reply or simply an open) and then respond to leads directly from your Mailshake account.
Mailshake uses Zapier to integrate with various third-party tools, and there is also an API that you can use.
There are two plans.
The Basic plan is $29/month per user. You get all of the basic features, including unlimited email aliases and reporting.
The Pro plan is $49/month per user. You get some additional perks, such as A/B testing, higher API limits, and the ability to filter campaigns by teammate.
4. Clickback Mail
Clickback Mail is all about compliance and making sure that your cold email campaigns get the highest possible conversion rates.
When importing your list, your emails go through a number of anti-spam checks to remove bad emails, verify email addresses, remove spam traps and honeypots, and increase deliverability.
They also use their own IP so your business is not affected in any way.
They also have a spam checker tool for you to run your emails through. They use split testing and 287 variables to help improve deliverability.
They have both a drag-and-drop editor and an HTML editor. There are a number of templates you can use.
There is detailed reporting and email personalization available.
Clickback Mail is not only a tool for sending emails to your leads; they will also give you the leads that you need. Pricing can be seen in the screenshot above.
5. Quickmail
Quickmail.io integrates with Gmail, Outlook, and Office 365. You can upload contacts, write emails, and schedule campaigns.
Quickmail will help you figure out how many emails you should be sending every day by analyzing your response rate.
You can then contact the same number of people every day automatically so that you get the same number of responses.
Quickmail lets you change the delay between emails and add variations to help you avoid having your emails sent to the spam filter.
Quickmail has two plans: $39/month and $55/month. The smaller plan lets you send from one email address and to 200 new contacts each day, while the larger plan lets you use three email addresses and send to 500 new contacts each day.
The larger plan also comes with live notifications, integrations, and workflow capabilities.
There is a 14-day trial.

Our final item on the list, Klenty, is also a solid option for cold email campaigns.
